UI Annoyance: No aggregate operation support

Here is a familiar kind of UI:

A collection of objects (images in this case).

It's possible to put the images under different categories (eg: 'Favorites').

I think a pretty typical operation would be to want to categorise multiple images.

Right now, in this app (DALL-E) and so many others, this would require me to go to each individual image, and selecting from a drop down the category to add the image to.

A basic way to solve this would be to allow the user to select multiple images and set the category on those.

A better way in our AI age would be for the system to automatically categorise images for us, or to suggest categories based on the selected images.

But at the very least, I almost always wish software that supports doing an operation on a single object, would also allow you to easily do it on multiple objects.
